Hello! I'm starting to do a monthly scope for card making. Want to join? Make sure you follow me on Periscope so you'll be invited to watch. It's a fun interactive way to participate in my class without having to fly, drive or teleport from your location. LOL. I'll be starting the scope around 7:15pm Central Time. I hope you can check it out. Replay will be available for 24 hours. We'll be making that cute Valentines Card. Have a blessed day! Jackie

Dirty Laundry

Image
Actually it's clean laundry but most people wouldn't dare show their messy house. This is the spare bedroom and it acts as a holding area for clean clothes, sheets, towels, etc. Most days you can see naked people running to this room. Normally there's always clothes on the bed but this pile seemed higher than usual. I guess it's because I've been so busy lately. I've just gotten back from Leadership Convention, I've had two Girl Scout cookie booth sales, I've gone to a Mardi Gras Ball and a Mardi Gras parade, plus I've had a team meeting and my hostess club this weekend. Believe it or not I did get the laundry put away finally. But of course someone had to get more clothes dirty and I had to wash them and now there are clothes back on the bed. Why can't we live in a nudist colony??? I suppose I would be too cold if I did. So here's a card for you to see from my hostess club. It's embossing resist. I used the new saleabrati...

Expect Great Things

Image
Saw this on facebook but had to share it here. I expect great things to happen every day. Don't you? I hope you like this little cutie. It's time to revisit your goals for 2015 and see where you are at. Did you want to send birthday cards out on time? Did you want to finish your scrapbook of Disney? Did you want to lose 10 pounds or more? If you didn't write it down, now is a good time to do that. Write it where you can see it and look at your goals everyday. Make sure you see it and think about it and pray about it. You can do it when you expect to do it. Here's a card that I made for a swap at Leadership: I love how each day can become a new adventure. Let's start our journey and expect wonderful things to happen. Blessings, Jackie

Valentine's for my sweet girls

Image
Okay so my two darling daughters need Valentine's right? I have made a bunch of cards lately and most of the ideas I get from Pinterest. So these two are from cards I saw and did a little tweaking. I hope you like them. I enjoyed making them. It's fun to try to make the cards I see online. Maybe you can get inspired by these two cards and make your own. Feel free to email me a picture of what you make. Can you guess what stamps I used? You might be surprised by the swirled pink on the bottom one.

Wood you be mine?

Image
I have just started to play with this manly lumberjack stamp set. He's perfect for Valentine's Day. Here's the colors I came up with for the shirt. Which one do you like? Top to bottom: Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake Crushed Curry, Marina Mist, Lost Lagoon, Real Red, Pear Pizzazz So far I'm liking the Marina Mist best. Here's the card I made for my hubby.   Stamp Set: Wood you be mine? 137134 Paper: Early Espresso CS, Whisper White CS, Adventure Bound DSP stack 137780 Ribbon and twine from Stampin' Up! I even decorated the envelope. Woo hoo. I'm getting fancy. LOL. I hope you enjoyed stopping by. Leave a message for me. Jackie

Team Projects

Image
We did these projects last month. I love how the blendabilities look with this stamp set.   The pages in the DSP stack are perfect for making sour cream containers. I used the sweetheart punch then a circle punch to get the negative space then punched out a heart to put underneath it in the DSP. And layered it on top of the ever popular scallop circle. I cut my dimensionals so they wouldn't show. Last but not least was the Lotus Blossom stamp set from Sale-a-bration and the scallop tag punch. A simple way to show your customers that you care. Can be used as a book mark or added to a card front. Colors I used were Blushing Bride and Rose Red. Stamp off once to get the lightest color in Blushing Bride.   My team met this last Saturday and we had fun making treat bags with the new framelits and also made cards from the kit Hooray It's Your Day. Did you know that this kit makes 20 cards. It includes 2 reusable masks, wood stars and words, two sp...

New goodies and my Supper Club Card

Image
Here's a sneak peak at the New Occasions catalog items. Just got my pre order. Woo hoo! I've been way to busy to make anything yet. (Sad face). But as soon as I get through this week I should be able to play. Happy face! Here's the card we are making tomorrow night using the Bokeh Technique. So easy! Looks amazing though! This is totally cased from another demonstrator. (Did you think I was creative enough to come up with this on my own? LOL). I loved how it looked but thought it would be hard to do. Not even. I will show you how to do it and it shouldn't take long at all. Just some sponging and a little embossing. That's it. Looking forward to all the fun Christmas Parties this week at my kids school. I'm going to do a craft with each of their classes. Laura Minton made these. Mine will not look as cute but hopefully the kids will still like them. Have a Merry Christmas everyone.

Feathers are in for 2014

Stampin' Up! finally has made a stamp set to go with feather framelits . Yeah!!! Check out this card I sent to my team members for being so awesome! My Team enjoyed making these projects

Image
This was last month but I thought I would share them on here. If you are on Facebook you'll get to see my projects posted quicker.   We did a shaker card using the star framelits and then made the cute box using the envelope punch board. Do you want to have fun coming to my classes and learning these cool techniques? Join my team or set up a private class to learn how to do these projects and more.   Thanks for looking.

Make a difference! Ronald McDonald House Charities Stamp Set

Image
I love the new Ronald McDonald House Stamp Set. Check it out: Flamingo Lingo Clear-Mount Stamp Set 134306                         $3 will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities with the purchase of each stamp set. I loved the samples in the book with this set but had to change it up a bit and use the bleaching technique for the background. Here's what I came up with.   This stamp set coordinates with three different punches plus the Bitty Banner framelits.   Petite Petals   133322 Scallop Oval  119856 Petite Curly Label  129405   Bitty Banners  129267   I used Calypso Coral for the ink color on the flamingo and the cardstock. Bleaching the cardstock made it turn to a perfect shade of Daffodil Delight. I added a touch of Coastal Cabana.   I hope you enjoyed my card. Hav...

Perfect Peacock for my Perfect Friend

Image
Saying goodbye is hard to do. I have had to say goodbye to too many people lately. Friends keep moving away. It's especially hard when that person has touched your life in such a positive way. Through my Stampin' Up! business I have had the added blessing of meeting some special ladies. Many come into my life and shower me and my girls with beautiful cards and treats and boxes. They have inspired me and made my girls feel spoiled. They are like second aunts or even grandmas. Recently one of these special ladies told me she was moving. I probably still haven't had reality hit me yet but I know when it does it will be hard. I have assurances that we will keep in touch and that we may figure out Skype. (I need to hook up my video camera to my computer). Yesterday I gave her this card. She loved it and I'm so glad because it's hard to impress other crafters. I used the Perfect Peacock stamp set (133830) wood 14.95 and colored it with blendabilities. You know t...

Mother's Day included some handmade cards

Image
I love that my husband will venture into my craft room to make me cards. He really has some creative talent too. Check out this mother's day card he made me.     He really had a limited amount of supplies to use since I had taken all my adhesives, blocks, paper trimmer and scoring board with me to a class. I think he did great. He also complained about not having a stamp set that says Happy Mother's Day. Obviously he didn't check My Paper Pumpkin box that came last month. Lovely new stamp set in that.   I also got beautiful flowers and handmade cards from my two girls. One even drew a turtle for me.       I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. Every woman that nurtures someone in my book is a mother. It's the selfless act of giving to others that makes us moms. Lots of us mother nieces and nephews, neighbors, students and all kinds of little ones. So happy mother's day to you all.
