Here's some great new cards I've made lately

Image
Sorry to be away so long but I've been very busy lately. My two girls are now on summer break and I'll be able to do more stamping, painting and blogging. LOL. Here's the tote I made Amanda for her graduation. I think it's great that she loves what I make her so much. She kept asking me, "How did you make this???" She loved the rainbow. I did have to use one of her stamps to make it since SU! doesn't have a rainbow stamp. The theme of her graduation was rainbows. For her teacher I made a cute card that had a road trip theme. I was glad we had a stamp set for this one. I used the Just Beachy stamp set from the mini catalog. She's actually leaving on a road trip with her family for three weeks. She has 5 kids so I think she's going to go a little crazy. LOL. Here's the tote I made her. The class chipped in and gave her some spending money for her trip and I filled the tote with fun travel size things like bandaides, sewing kit, facial wipes, cou

Happy Mother's Day!

My sweet husband cooked me breakfast, made coffee for me and brought it to me in bed this morning. He also cleaned up after cooking and made French Onion Soup for lunch. I'm so being spoiled! But to top it all off he even stamped me a card and I LOVE IT!!! Lookie! Isn't he so talented? Maybe I should try to sign him up as a demo. LOL. I'd probably get really jealous though because he'd be stealing my customers. (Who wouldn't want to stamp with a handsome man???) I'm so lucky to be blessed with my family. I wish that my mommy was still here but I know that I was blessed to be raised by my wonderful mom and that I felt so loved and cared for by her. I just hope I can be as loving and caring to my own two girls. I love them so much and today I realize how special I am to them. Amanda came home last week from school and took her book bag to her room and told me not to follow her. She had a gift for me that she made and was waiting to give it to me until today. So t

New tote for Jessica's graduation

Image
Jessica is graduating from preschool tomorrow night and I thought since the theme of the event is a Safari that I would make her a really cute tote with an animal print on it. Every where you look women have these giraffe print purses. I love them! So when I saw this paper I just had to get it. The only problem was that it wasn't double sided paper. But SU! came to the rescue. I had a sheet of 12 x 12 textured Pink Pirouette cardstock. I glued it on the back and then made the tote per instructions. What do you think? I love it! I think the pink is pale enough to be subtle. But it still looks good. :) Here's the tote filled with goodies. I really like how Orbit gum fits perfect. Plus Jessica loves Cool Aid so I bought some packets of it for her. They fit really well. And best of all is the movie, "All Dogs Go To Heaven". This is a really good tote since all these things fit so perfect. In case you are wondering about the straps: it's the felt ribbon from the Holida

Monday morning and it's raining!

Image
Today there's thunder and lightening here and now it's raining. Severe weather alerts are going off and possible tornados. I'm not too worried though. Usually tornados hit North of us and lightening hits the tallest houses here (not mine). Yesterday I made a few cards. I orignally wanted this card to be a Mother's Day card but it turned out to be a friend card. Also I was playing around with the level III rubons. Usually I put rubons on glasses, vases or cups. But I thought this time I would make a card. What do you think? I wanted to post these cards from club too. I tried my best to make the grass card look good but I had to add some gel pen to make it stand out better. This technique is the crayon resist. You use a white crayon and color over the top of the stamped image. Then you brayer it and wipe off the crayon parts. It works really good on glossy white paper but you can use it on other types of paper. That's it for now. I'm going to check to see if there

Mother's Day Tote Bag and Card

Image
Here's a picture of the tote bag and card that I designed for the Mother's Day class on May 8th. My Up upline, Mandy, gave me the directions to make it and I thought it would look cute with the SAB designer paper. I even added a tag punched with the heart punch. You can fill the pockets with candy or gift cards or pictures of your kids. It's a great gift idea for any occasion. I'm thinking of making a cute one for a girl's birthday coming up soon. If you aren't fortunate to be in the marker club this time I'll share the two cards we did last night. Steve thought the first try at the bird card was a little plain. I am an artist and I just couldn't let that slide. So I jazzed it up a bit. Which one do you like? I really like this card a lot. I used Kiwi Kiss, Pretty In Pink and Barely Banana. I also decided not to horde the Silver Hodgepodge Hardware anymore and we used the flower with some ribbon. I'll send out the instructions to those that came ye
