My Stamp-a-ma-jig with Work of Art

  We did this card at my last card class. It's using the masking technique and the Stamp-a-ma-jig. I don't use it much but it really is important if you want to use the chevron stamp out of the set Work of Art.   Here's the step by step:   Cut out a piece of cardstock and a piece of copy paper 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 then layer them and run them through the Big Shot with a shaped framelet or die. I used the Hearts framelets.   Next put the cardstock on your Whisper White Card base securing it with Post Its. I made up a spray using Rose Red and rubbing alcohol. Spritz the heart shape then remove the cardstock.   Attached the copy paper over the sprayed base, lining up the hearts. Secure with Post It notes again.   Stamp your image on the clear plastic and then line it up on your card. Remove the clear sheet and then stamp. Masking Technique using By The Tide

Here's a step by step on making the By The Tide card. By The Tide stamp set: 129120 Start with two post it notes and tear them in half. Attach them to the base (4" x 5 1/4") Get all your stamps attached to the clear blocks. This saves you time later when you are stamping a bunch of these cards so you don't have to keep attaching and removing them from one block. I love Stampin' Up! Ink Pads!!!  Make sure you start with the lightest color first just in case the color doesn't dry before you stamp the next image.  Leave your stamps on top of the ink pad so they are ready to use again and you won't get confused about which image is stamped with which color. I hate it when I accidentally stamp a dark color on a light color ink pad. Not pretty.  After all the images are stamped you are ready for the next part. SPONGING!
