Paper Pumpkin Kit - Father's Day!

Image
I love surprises! My Paper Pumpkin is my monthly surprise that I give myself. Every month my red box shows up in the mail and I can't wait to open it and see what's inside. May's kit didn't disappoint. I love the amazing designs, colors, embellishments, stamps, ink, envelopes and printed paper. I admit that a few of the past Paper Pumpkins left me wondering what was going on with this kit. It's suppose to be a showcase of Stampin' Up! products. A few of the past kits made me think they were running to a Big Box store for supplies. So I wrote to Stampin' Up! about my concerns and they listened. I have to say I'm so impressed now with this subscription that I feel it's worth more than the $19.95 that it costs. I look forward to every month and seeing the amazing product that it includes. One thing they improved most on was the quality of paper. I now feel this is something that is worthy of the Stampin' Up! name. Envelopes and cardstock ar...

Tuesday Messy Desk

Image
Well actually everyday is messy desk day. LOL. But at least with this blog post you'll be able to see me create something out of the mess. I was busy making tonight's card class so this is what's left there to work with for tomorrow's amazing creation! Tonight we are learning to sponge like a pro. This is my monthly supper club and we get together to eat and have fun stamping. I'm excited to show my friends how to do this card below. It's using Soft Sky (a new color they brought back. Yeah!) Crumb Cake, Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso and the ribbon is Baked Brown Sugar. Oh and the green is Pear Pizazz. I love the new back ground stamp. The look of wood without embossing through the big shot. This is a must for any serious crafter. Endless possibilities. Oh and I love the polaroid framelit! I have to say that I saw this card on facebook and it inspired me to make my own. Not sure how to link to it but I will tell you that Song Of...

This mess below: will be transformed into a beautiful card for you all to see tomorrow. So check back and see what I make. In the mean time take a look at the card we made with my Hostess Club: We used the Acetate and Tissue Technique to create this beautiful card. I also used the Valentine Set that came out last month. If you have gotten your order and realized that your stamps did not come put together for you for the first time you may be wondering how to put them together. Here's a great video of my daughter showing you some tricks to make it easier to put those stickers on our clear stamps.   Didn't you think she did a great job? Leave a comment for her to read. Thanks.   I hope to make more videos in the future. Check back often.   Jackie

Father's Day Banner using Paper Pumpkin Kit

Image
If you have signed up for Paper Pumpkin by Stampin' Up! then you got the kit to make the journal.   Instead of a journal though I made a banner for Father's Day.     I die cut the letters from the chipboard cover and then embossed with Pool Party Embossing Powder. I also printed up a few pictures to add behind some of the thick stickers that come with the kit.   Make sure you sign up for Paper Pumpkin so you don't miss out on more fun projects using the monthly kits. Each month is different.   Thanks for looking.   By the way, just entered this project to a new blog I found that's all about Paper Pumpkin ideas. Check it out by clicking the image below.
