Fall SUO Challenge
Okay here's my card for the SUO challenge. I hope I get in the top three but I have some stiff competition.
I used the stamp set Just Believe and the hostess set Punch Potpourri.
Paper: Cajun Craze, Peach Parfait, Soft Suede, Whisper White and packing paper
Ink: Cajun Craze marker, Soft Suede marker, Peach Parfait Ink Pad.
Accessories: Hemp Twine, Two Step Bird Punch, Scallop Square Extra-Large Punch, Top Note Die and Pearl jewels
Pretty cool huh? I thought it came out good. I wanted to add a saying on the card and started by making a scallop sqare with a circle in the middle with the word "freind" in th center. I tried placing it all over this card but didn't like how big it was and took up too much of the card. So then I ended up making a 3 x 3 card for it to go on. Lookie:
If you are wondering how we have two sizes of the scallop square I have to admit that we only have one size. But come back tomorrow and I'll show you how I did it.
They look great together. I think it would be a great hostess gift or just something fun to give to a friend.
Well even though I eat, breath and sleep Stampin' Up! I actually was commissioned to paint some buckets. Last year I did a friend's daughter's cheerleading bucket. Apparently they use these buckets to carry prizes that they end up throwing to the crowd during a game. Usually girls decorate their own buckets but my friend had a hard time getting her's to look right so she asked me to paint it. It turned out great and this year she asked me to do a new one for her and 3 other girls.
Here are the buckets before being painted.
Here they are after:
I spent a lot of time on these trying to get them just right. The cool thing was I had ribbon that matched the school colors perfectly. (Rich Razzleberry and Crush Curry) Anyway I hope the girls like them. I may have to go to a football game now and watch for my buckets. There are 16 girls on the team so I'm curious how the others look.
Did you notice the bucket for Amy has the Top Note shape? I love that die and wanted to make a really big one but my hand could not draw it so well on the bucket. So I ended up tracing the smaller one a few times. Here's the back side of her bucket.
Well kids are in bed and I will be soon too. I have a box of Stampin' Up! stuff to go through tomorrow and organize into my new bins and boxes. Yeah!
Good night!

Thanks for playing with us at SUO Challenges!! :) I LOVE that you used the waffle paper--I've ordered some, and I'm trying to get some ideas on how to use it. I also really like the color combos you chose as well as that you used that cute bird from the Punch Potpourri set. Great job!!
Amy
Amy, That's not waffle paper. It's the paper that comes in the box to keep stuff from moving around. LOL. I hate throwing it away so I keep it. LOL.
Great card I love the crumpled die cut and distressing! Thanks so much for playing along at SUO Challenges! We hope to see you again soon :)
p.s. great buckets! too cute
