Kids Birthday Cards

I had to make a few birthday cards last weekend. Here's what I came up with for a boy.





Isn't it great? I love the bright colors and solid images. I used Pacific Point paper for the bright blue so I stamped in that as well. (Gotta match). and I thought it needed something in the corner so I punched out a sun with the 1/8" circle punch in Summer Sun.


This is the card I made for a sweet little girl who reminds me of an angel. I hope she liked all the glitter. :)


After making a bunch of cards I wanted to work on a scrapbook page for a workshop I'm doing this week. Here's what I came up with.


Isn't it so beachy? I love it. And really it was so simple with the Simply Scrappin' Kit. I used a few sheets and some stickers that come in it with some Close to Cocoa paper I have. I wanted to use a wedding photo for this since it is the Love Stories kit. But I think it shows how this kit can be used for more than just weddings.


I have a few St. Patricks Day cards to download too but I'll have to do that later.

Fall SUO Challenge

Okay here's my card for the SUO challenge. I hope I get in the top three but I have some stiff competition. I used the stamp set Just Believe and the hostess set Punch Potpourri. Paper: Cajun Craze, Peach Parfait, Soft Suede, Whisper White and packing paper Ink: Cajun Craze marker, Soft Suede marker, Peach Parfait Ink Pad. Accessories: Hemp Twine, Two Step Bird Punch, Scallop Square Extra-Large Punch, Top Note Die and Pearl jewels Pretty cool huh? I thought it came out good. I wanted to add a saying on the card and started by making a scallop sqare with a circle in the middle with the word "freind" in th center. I tried placing it all over this card but didn't like how big it was and took up too much of the card. So then I ended up making a 3 x 3 card for it to go on. Inspiration from God

Have you ever read something that so touched your soul that you wanted to share it with everyone? I recently read a blog post from a friend that really touched my soul and made me want to share it with you all. I realized that I was missing something special in my life. I had thought I could live in a state of mediocre. It wasn't a horrible life but it wasn't a wonderful life either. I was neutral. Lukewarm. The bible says that you should not be lukewarm. Rev. 3:16 So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth.  God says it's better to be hot or cold. Staying lukewarm is worse.
