Totally TURTLES

Do you love to do traditional hand stamped cards? Do you like making 50 of them? Well I like creating a card to send to friends and family but I don't always like to make a bunch of the same card. MDS makes it really easy for me to design a beautiful card that I can customize for the individual easily. I can also add some traditional stamping after printing it if I want. Here's the MDS card I made for a thank you card to Amanda's Birthday. (Not sent yet). LOL. My plan is to put a picture of each child in the box so they'll have a picture of themselves from the party. I downloaded this awesome chalkboard paper with cute scrolls and designs in it. I also had this neat looking tape accessory that went nicely with the theme. I saw this kit in the mini catalog and thought it would be perfect for scrapbooking. Of course the first thing I use it on is a card. LOL. I guess I can't help it. Card making is in my blood now. I like how the pool party button goes with the new ribbon from the sale-a-bration catalog. Buttons are great for embellishing cards and scrapbooks. But did you see those doilies? Especially the heart shaped one. Plus there's cute die cut "tags" and tickets you can use. Everything coordinates with Stampin' Up! colors. The card above is made with Natural Composition Specialty Paper. I used some bleach to lighten up the flowers. The paper is already embossed so all you need to do is pick part of the paper you like, bleach it and attach it to the card. Easy. I finally put this stamp set together. I knew I needed it the minute I saw it in the Mini Catalog. I'm off to Leadership soon but wanted to say Happy New Year! Lots of great new products in the catalog and I've been busy making swaps to take to Convention so I can have new ideas to bring back. I got an iPad for Christmas (Santa was good!) so hopefully I can update my blog from it. I will try to post what I can here but make sure to follow me on Facebook so you can have instant updates. It's Stampin' Up!'s 25th anniversary. I can't believe how long they've been around and I only found out about them 6 years ago. I'm glad I did find out about them though because I LOVE stamps!!!
