Happy Mardi Gras!

Here's the card that we made at my supper club this month. It's using a ton of techniques. But mostly focused on the punch art of the mask and the embossing.

Directions below:

Mardi Gras Card

Steps:

Whisper White (100730): score at 4 ¼ cut at 5 ½ (makes two card bases)

Gumball Green (126840): cut with tiny wave trimmer (129409) at 4 ¼  x 5 ½ (then trim closer to make the size of the piece 4 x 5 ¼ )

Summer Starfruit (126839): cut at 4 ¾ x 3 ¼ with straight edge.

Punch out  2 birds (117191) in Rich Razzleberry (115316) and one decorative label punch (120907)

Use scissors and cut label in half length ways

Punch out 2 wings from Basic Black (121045)

You can put together the two birds and wings with adhesive. Add dimensionals to back but don’t stick it down yet.

Embossing the Summer Starfruit piece: Ink the Modern Mosaic embossing folder (129984) with ink pad. I used Rich Razzleberry ink.(126950)

Place cardstock in folder and emboss through big shot Or Texture Boutique Embossing Machine (132657)

You can now layer the yellow on top of the green. Use a marker (120970) to outline the yellow cardstock.

Punch out saying with decorative label punch and then attach the rich razzleberry cardstock to the top and bottom of the label. Use brads or embellishments to cover the sides.

Cut two strips of ribbon and adhere to back of “mask”.

Attach elements to card. Add bling to mask.

Here's a variation on the card:
