Okay here's my card for the SUO challenge. I hope I get in the top three but I have some stiff competition. I used the stamp set Just Believe and the hostess set Punch Potpourri. Paper: Cajun Craze, Peach Parfait, Soft Suede, Whisper White and packing paper Ink: Cajun Craze marker, Soft Suede marker, Peach Parfait Ink Pad. Accessories: Hemp Twine, Two Step Bird Punch, Scallop Square Extra-Large Punch, Top Note Die and Pearl jewels Pretty cool huh? I thought it came out good. I wanted to add a saying on the card and started by making a scallop sqare with a circle in the middle with the word "freind" in th center. I tried placing it all over this card but didn't like how big it was and took up too much of the card. So then I ended up making a 3 x 3 card for it to go on. Lookie: If you are wondering how we have two sizes of the scallop square I have to admit that we only have one size. But come back tomorrow and I'll show you how I did it. They look great t...
I love surprises! My Paper Pumpkin is my monthly surprise that I give myself. Every month my red box shows up in the mail and I can't wait to open it and see what's inside. May's kit didn't disappoint. I love the amazing designs, colors, embellishments, stamps, ink, envelopes and printed paper. I admit that a few of the past Paper Pumpkins left me wondering what was going on with this kit. It's suppose to be a showcase of Stampin' Up! products. A few of the past kits made me think they were running to a Big Box store for supplies. So I wrote to Stampin' Up! about my concerns and they listened. I have to say I'm so impressed now with this subscription that I feel it's worth more than the $19.95 that it costs. I look forward to every month and seeing the amazing product that it includes. One thing they improved most on was the quality of paper. I now feel this is something that is worthy of the Stampin' Up! name. Envelopes and cardstock ar...
Okay I just had to share this card with everyone. I'm very proud of it. It took me forever to figure out how to do some of the shapes but I finally did it. This card was for my friend's husband who turned 40 today. He is a serious cyclist. Every weekend he does 60-120 miles on his bike. I'm lucky if I ride my bike around the loop. I remembered seeing a punch art of a cyclist on a blog and since I don't have a stamp of a bike or anything close to it I decided to do punch art. I found the website (click here if you want to see it) with the image and did my best to copy it. I changed the colors to make it personal. Everyone was impressed by the card. I have to say that I rather make that card than ride 60 miles on a bike but I think I'll just look at the picture if I ever want to see it again. LOL. Here's the card: I will not go into details but if you want to know how I did it let me know and I'll try to talk you through it. LOL. Here's another swap ...
