Pop Up Dress Birthday Card

Image
My neighbor asked me to make a card for her friend today. She's turning 50 so of course it had to be something special. I asked her a few questions and if her friend likes blues or pinks or what. She didn't want a black and white card. Or over the hill. So I asked if pinks and spring colors would be good. She said yes. At first I was thinking flowers but when I did a little research online I saw the Pop Up Dress framelets being used on a few birthday cards and they looked so pretty I thought, "That's It!" Here's what I came up with. Some of the paper is retired but I used More Amore Specialty DSP 129309 from the mini catalog along with the Artisan embellishment kit 129328.  I cut out the dress form and then wrapped the ribbon around it and added one of the flowers from the flower trim ribbon. Easter Card and gifts using Stampin Up

Image
I really like how these treats turned out.I used the two tags die for the base, punched a hole for the ribbon, attached some Designer Series Paper and then used a glue dot for the chocolate bunny. The stamp is an older stamp that retired but you could use any stamp you have that says Happy Easter. I also used some of the new flower ribbon on these by cutting off one flower and attaching it with a glue dot. Description: Vintage dimensional flowers on strips of tulle. Approx. 5/8" wide. 2 yds. Vanilla. 126869  6.95 You can even color the flowers if you want. Check out this video I found on YouTube. You can skip to minute 4 for the coloring process. I also made this cute shaker card for my class last month.  We used the shaker frames 124155 to make the frame around the bunny. The stamp set is:  A Little Bit Of Spring Clear-Mount Stamp Set 126011 Price : $23.95 I may make a quick step by step for this card to post online. Let me know if ...

My Annie Sloan Cabinets

Image
Did you get a chance to see my new cabinets? I used the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint - Provence. I can show you step by step if you want. I just have been busy lately. I did use the dark wax and the clear wax on these. I still need to add the knobs I got from Hobby Lobby. (I'll get to it soon.) I did have the counter cleared off so it was a perfect time to take a picture. Thanks for stopping by today. Jackie
