Girl Scout Brownie

Image
My little girl is bridging to Brownies this Friday and I wanted to make her a card to show her how proud I am of her. Here's what I came up with. I think she'll love it! I used all Stampin' Up! punches to make the bridge and the girl. I did use the Crop-a-dile for the eyes though. Okay enough of me procrastinating for tonights punch class. I have the rose and one card designed. Still need one more great idea for a card. Off to research some more. I'll post the cards we make tonight on the blog tomorrow. Happy Stampin'!

Do you want to learn more about making cards and creating beautiful scrapbook pages? Maybe you've heard about the new Smooch Spritz from our Summer Catalog. I'm having an open house on May 12 and would love to have you and a friend come and see what's new with Stampin' Up! I really am excited to show people the new colors coming out this summer and all the fun new stamp sets in the Mini Catalog. Visit my website for more details. My true passion was always scrapbooking. This month is National Scrapbooking Month. In honor of that I want to have a little contest. If you have a picture that is crying out to be scrapbooked I want to challenge you to make it into a scrapbook page and email me a picture of your completed page. I'll be  posting some of my scrapbook pages this month for inspiration. I'll be giving away a free stamp set to the most creative and current Stampin' Up! Scrapbook page. So give it a go and see what you come up with. Here's a sampl...

Fox and Friends

Image
If you were thinking about getting this stamp set you better act today. Here's a cute card I made with the monkey from the set Fox and Friends. I love how you can make the set work for a boy card or a girl card. Plus there's a stamp of a turtle. Who doesn't love turtles?? Today is Amanda's horseback riding lesson. Last Friday it rained so her lesson was canceled. It's starting to rain right now and her lesson is in an hour. I hope it stops. Here's some pictures from Jessica's lesson yesterday. I'm loving the horse Rocky. He's a rescue horse from a family going through a divorce. They had stopped feeding him so he lost a lot of weight. I fed him an apple yesterday and gave him a good brushing. He's the sweetest horse and so loving. I can give him a big hug and he puts his head on my shoulder. I love him. Please keep him in your prayers to put on weight. Jessica on Patches You can see Rocky's ribs which is not a good thing. He's pr...

SWAPS!

Image
I just had to show off the swap I made for my demo meeting. Jeannette and Linda had some great swaps too but I'll just show mine today. Of course when I made this swap everything on it was current but now the paper and the felt is sold out. At least you can still get the Charming set. :) Here's some unstampin' stuff to tell you about. My turtle that I thought laid 10 eggs really laid 14 eggs. I can't believe it! But I did find another turtle yesterday in the habitat and then later in the morning I found 3 more. I think that's a world record or something. LOL. Here's a picture of the newest baby. I named her Polka Dot. She's so cute! I wanted to find all the babies at the same time and take a picture of them all but I can't find them all. LOL. Maybe tomorrow morning I will. Happy Stampin' and turtle watching!

Pansy flowers with punch

Image
I was touring my favorite blogs and saw a great new idea. See Dawn's Blog . She uses our butterfly punch to make these beautiful pansies. I had to try it myself so here's what I came up with. I'm pretty happy with my first try at it. Maybe we'll make this card tomorrow for Stamp Club. If you want to come to the class it's only $5. Let me know if you are coming. Happy Stampin'!

Are you ready to be a Stampin' Up! girl?

My two daughters are! LOL. They would love to be Stampin' Up! girls and sell Stampin' Up! but they have to wait until they are 18. Darn! But I would love to grow my team and have more friends to stamp with and share this wonderful business opportunity. My hobby started just over two years ago and has grown into a business that helps me pay for my hobby. By holding classes, workshops and clubs I have been able to enjoy stamping, scrapbooking and more. Do you have a few questions about becoming a demo? Check out the questions below and see if becoming a Stampin' Up! girl is right for you. FAQs about Being a Demonstrator 1. What are the minimum sales requirements? You only need to submit $300 in sales per quarter. That is less than an average Stampin’ Up!® workshop! Also, you can submit your sales in any increment you wish and still receive your 20 percent discount and commission. 2. What if I want to do this as a hobby and not necessarily a business? Stampin’ Up! s...

Lookie at these two colors together

Image
Okay, I've been looking at my cardstock and I realize I have a lot of cardstock in colors that are retiring. I'll need to use this up so if you want to make some cards I'll be doing a few stamp a stacks. Here's a card I made this morning using Taken With Teal and Apricot Appeal. I used the Rhinstone brads I have and colored in the eggs with the matching marker and aqua painter. I hope you like it. I have a mountain of laundry so I better get busy on putting it all away. Have a great Monday!
