Poppies, totally CASED!

Image
I was looking at Pinterest and saw this lovely card . Valerie Perlin is a demonstrator in France. I knew I had to try to duplicate this card. CASE is an acronym for copy and share everything. Well if I had the right ribbon I would have totally CASEd it. LOL. Here's my version: Supplies: Happy Watercolor: 133191 Secret Garden Framelets  129372 7/16" Trim   129287 Whisper White Cardstock   100730 Crumb Cake Cardstock   120953 Hardwood   133035 Old Olive Ink   126953 Real Red Ink   126949 Soft Suede Ink   126978 Sponges   101610 Daffodil Delight Ink   126944 Aqua Painters   103954 Deco Framelets 130102 I used the aqua painters to do the flowers but for the leaves I stamped the water color stamp in Old Olive on Whisper White cardstock in a random pattern. Then die cut the leaves with the Big Shot. They turned out beautiful. You could use the build a bird punch to make leaves too. I use that punch all the time. Hope you enjoyed todays card. Remember there&#

You mean the world to me!

Here's a card I made for my hubby. He really does mean the world to me. I thought he would love the map background stamp. (Glad this stamp isn't on the retired list). Supplies: World Map  130345  Love You More   131853 Black Stazon Ink   101406 Crumb Cake Cardstock and Ink  120953, 126975 Marina Mist Ink  126962 Soft Suede Cardstock and Ink   115318, 126978 Real Red Marker  100052 Aqua Painters   103954 Sponge daubers   102892 (retiring) Do you know the trick of pressing the top of the ink pad lid into the ink pad? That's what I did and then used the aqua painter to get some color on the tip and color in the map. You have to make sure you use stazon ink to stamp the map so that the lines won't bleed. Hope you are having a blessed day! Thanks for looking. Jackie

I've been busy with family lately. We went on a ski trip last week. It was so fun and the girls had an amazing time. It was their first time seeing it snow. (They have seen sleet). They were great skiing too! Even Amanda did great who is afraid of heights. Their instructors were so proud of them. (Me too!) Here's some pics of my trip: Tuesday night was my supper club. We had a roast and some of the sides that my friends brought were really unique. Carrot soufflé and raspberry cupcakes. Yum! Here's the technique we did. Faux Patina is a really easy technique but following the instructions is important. You can go to Splitcoast Stampers to see video and other instructions. I did use the gold ink pad instead of gold embossing powder though. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/fauxpatina/ The stamp I used is from the April Paper Pumpkin. I love how it's just in time for Mother's Day plus the cute frame that came with it will
