Fun with MDS

Image
I don't normally make scrapbook pages with the Digital Software but I just downloaded a few new things and played around with it. These two pages are already designed for me to drop pictures in. I think the pictures go great in these layouts. Took me 10 minutes to figure out which pictures to use. That's it. Then I can have them printed by my favorite photo place or use Stampin' Up!'s print feature. Designer Kit/A Split Second in MDS. Here's some more ideas using this download: click here To order the download you can click here . It's $2.95. Thanks for looking and have a blessed day!

Yikes! My Ink Pad is RUINED!

Image
When my two girls were still young one of them decided to get my ink pads out and stamp with them. One color was Pink Pirouette and one was basic black. I know right? You can see where this is going. After she stamped the image with the black ink she wanted to stamp it again with the pink. Being young she didn't know that you need to clean the stamp in-between colors. So the pink ink pad ended up having a black image on it. And yes I did yell that she ruined my ink pad. Luckily someone gave me information to save my ink pad from the trash can. If you are a fellow demonstrator I know how hard it is to let others use your stuff. You want it to stay perfect but that's not going to help others to learn this wonderful hobby. Starting off doing workshops and classes I realized that my stamps and ink pads were going to be used imperfectly. I soon decided to let it all go and not to worry. With that in mind take a look at how I found my ink pad after holding my open house. I w

Quick and Easy Easter Cards

Image
Who likes to send cards on Easter? I do! But I hate having to go to the store to buy them and then search for the perfect one. Then later to find out that card cost $7. Yikes! I rather sit down and make some handmade cards for my friends and family. I know you would like to receive one wouldn't you? It's not too soon to start planning for your Easter cards. Here's one I made for my Open House. It's quick and easy to make. Plus it's unique in shape and fun to create. Using some punches, oval framelits (129381) and new fringe scissors (133325) I made this card in no time. A little sponging on the edges and tie a ribbon at the top and it's done. Want to make a bunch of these? Why not schedule a class with me. I'll show you and your friends how to make this card and they'll have something that they can send to their friends. Thanks for looking and have a blessed day!

Carving Stamps

Image
I made a stamp for a lady who needed the word HOPE in a certain size. I was glad that Stampin' Up! carries a new carving kit to make your own stamps. Here's what she wanted and how it turned out: I made it into a cling stamp using our cling foam. But the kit does come with wood blocks if you prefer that. 124236     Clear Mount Cling Foam  (page 197).    10.95 133402     Undefined Stamp Carving Kit                 19.95 134808      Undefined Refill Kit                                9.95 Visit this link to see more ideas using the Undefined Stamp Carving Kit. scrapbook retreat was awesome

Image
This past weekend I went to Destin to scrapbook. I love scrapbooking but don't get to do it very often. (Maybe twice a year). So this was my chance to work on the family vacation album. We went to Orlando and visited all the fun parks they have including SeaWorld and Epcot. Here's a few pages I did: Here's the view from the condo. I think I could have stayed on the balcony all day. It was beautiful weather too. 70 and sunny. If you want to learn more about this retreat visit their website here . I hope you have a great day! I am busy doing laundry and unpacking. LOL.
