Card Buffet! Yummy!

Image
Yesterday was my stamp a stack class that I hold every last Sunday of the month. Well a customer of mine suggested that I do a card buffet so that there's more to pick from. I love this idea! So I set up my kitchen just like a buffet with the cards on plates. Hee hee. My girls came in and asked if we were going to be eating cards. No silly. LOL. There were four cards to pick from. I really thought everyone would want to do the Valentine's the most so I didn't cut much for my Christmas cards. Unfortunately I ran out of the Christmas cards first. Crazy! LOL.  Here's the set up for 10 people to come stamp at my house. I may need to buy more chairs. They are on sale at Sam's for $28 for four. (If they are still there I may buy them). I also had my card display out and some new cards I made were on the table for everyone to see. I'm getting a lot of good feedback on the window panes. Might start putting some of those in my door prize bucket. Big Shot emb

Not too early for this one

Okay ladies. We all struggle with masculine cards. I dont have a lot of stamps that can be for either a man or a woman but I was inspired today to make this Father's Day card. Here's what inspired me. My daughter Amanda was wearing this animal print shirt and I thought, "Smooch Spritz!!!!" LOL.  So here is what I did to copy this pattern since Stampin' Up! doesn't have an animal print designer paper. I started with Crumb Cake cardstock. I spritzed basic black marker on it then I sponged More Mustard which smeared the black a little. After that I spritzed it with Gold Smooch Spray. I added some layers of basic black cardstock and crumb cake and then stamped my lion from Fox and Friends. I cut it out and put a window pane over the top of it and tied it into place with crumb cake ribbon. The saying is from the level II hostess set in the Occassions Mini Catalog. Here's another view so you don't see such a glare. Oh I almost forgot to mention

More Cupcake cards

Image
Here's another creation using the cupcake stamp set and punch. Only it's not a cupcake!  Looks really cute though and can be a birthday card or a Valentine's day card. I used a stamp from the SAB catalog too. Here's the simple version: And here's the souped up version: I think we'll have the first card be one of the cards for my stamp a stack class on Sunday. If you want to add the diamonds, ribbon and pearls you'll have to place an order. And if you are going to place an order you might as well earn some free SAB stamp sets. I've got a few packages to pick from to help you get to the magic number. One way to get there is to buy a Simply Adorned Charm, chain and stamp set. When you do that you get to come to my class on February 20th. Sign up now to reserve a spot. Or you can pick from three Packages. I'll have more details on those tomorrow. Plus I'll have another card to show you.

My Husband Singing

No need for an introduction here. Hee hee. I was watching him for a couple minutes and then thought, "I gotta record this." It's nice to know my husband can still let loose and be fun. I hope you enjoyed this video. Perhaps I can make a stamping video someday. One will have to check back to see if I do. Hee hee. I bought a book at the store the other day called, Lessons of a Turtle. I think it's very cute and very true some of the quotes and sayings in it. I thought maybe you would like to see some of the sayings. Here's one that really makes sense. You can't move forward until you stick your neck out . If you are one of my "turtles" this is a great way to think about your business or hobby. If you want to do more with it you'll have to stick your neck out. Perhaps even book a workshop. Gasp! I know. It's hard to ask people to host a party for you. I was rejected at least 10 times recently. I wish I wouldn't hear "no"

Sometimes we have a 3D item like the tissue box cover. Let me know if you want to come to the next one. It's February 15 at 6:30pm. I have a really cute video of my hubby singing that I'm tempted to post. I dont think he'd mind. Hee hee. Check back tomorrow...

Beveled Windowpanes

These accessories are so much fun! They are in the Mini Catalog. $7.95 gets you 12 of them (4 each of three sizes). Here's some samples I saw at Leadership: I really was impressed with what you could do with them. Some ladies were wearing them as necklaces too. I'm thinking this should be a class. How about you? Hee hee. I'm having a wonderful Saturday! I got up and made sausage, eggs and pancakes for my family. I read some of the book I've been reading called The Help. Very good book. I checked my email and sent a message to my team. I tickled my little girl until she was screaming stop. I played with my doggie. I cuddled with my other daughter. Played Wii with them both. Updated my blog and I'm still in my jammies. It's a great day!

Hunting and scrapbooking

Hey all, My girls went hunting for the first time with their daddy this past weekend. I was waiting to get some pictures from the trip since I didn't go. Here's a few pages I did with My Digital Studio. The girls were super excited and not at all sad. They had tons of questions for daddy and even helped lift the deer onto the 4 wheeler. Those are some strong girls! I'll have more projects to post tomorrow!

Leadership was AWESOME!!!

Image
I had the best time in Nashville, TN! I worked hard to earn the chance to go to Leadership this year and was so glad that I made it in. I will tell you the event sold out and I had many fellow demonstrators complain that they didn't get in. Some were lucky to transfer into someone else's spot when they couldn't go. One lucky lady was my roommate. Kacey, my convention buddy from last time, couldn't go and transferred her ticket to Michele. Michele is super talented and made the best pillow gift. I had to steal the idea and make some for my downline when I got back. Here's a picture of her gift to me. She used the 6 x 6 page protectors to make the clear pouch. Then she used DSP and inserted into it for the background. Here's some other pillow gifts I got. Vickie was so generous and included a $7 gift card to Starbucks!  Here's a picture of all the stuff I got at Leadership. I did buy the matching wallet to the purse. Everyone got a purse when they c

Gifts for my Leadership buddies

Image
Here's  some gifts I made for my Leadership buddies. I hope they liked them. I got the idea from one of my customers that is very talented with making boxes and other 3 D items. Of course I had to put some chocolate inside them. Hee hee. I used the new SAB paper and ribbon. There's also a sticker sheet that has the flowers and circles plus some other neat designs. The stamp is from the Level III Hostess stamp set in the Big Cattie. I should be on my way home from Leadership. I can't wait to post pictures! Happy stamping!
